The announcement of the traditional Symposium of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Equipment of Serbia and the celebration of the 20 years of the existence of ALIMS.

The traditional international expert symposium of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Equipment of Serbia (ALIMS) marks the 20th anniversary of our institution this year.

ALIMS, the national regulatory authority of Serbia and one of the top 50 in the world according to WHO, is the main organizer of this gathering – an annual meeting of all interested parties and partners that has taken place every year since our establishment.

The symposium will be held from 24 th to 26 th of October 2024, at the Gorski Hotel on Kopaonik, and for the first time we will have a three-day program. This prestigious event will bring together eminent experts from the country and abroad, who will discuss the latest achievements and challenges in the field of medicines and medical equipment regulation.

The symposium is held in cooperation with the co-organizers: the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, the Association of Innovative Drug Manufacturers – INOVIA and the Association of Foreign Genetic Drug Manufacturers – GENEZIS and under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia.

The topics of the symposium include the most current challenges but also solutions in the sphere of ALIMS competence, with special reference to innovations in terms of digitization and IT improvements, i.e. the new RIMS system, reliance, novelties in the sphere of medical devices, (mis)use of social networks in the context of pharmacy and drugs, interchangeable drugs, new ICH guidelines, sustainable and environmentally conscious development, innovations in the work of the national control laboratory and others.

We would like to single out shortened parallel programs dedicated to the areas of clinical trials and drugs for veterinary use, which include a lower registration fee.

On this occasion, we invite all actors in the pharmaceutical and healthcare system of Serbia and the region to confirm their presence and take an active part in the symposium in order to contribute to the success of this important international event and to join us in the celebration of the jubilee, that is important not only for ALIMS but also for all other partners with the common goal – better health of the citizens of Serbia.
